Grand Gulf Military Park

I love short road trips. This past weekend, we traveled down to Port Gibson (actually about 8 miles out from there) to Grand Gulf Military State Park. Grand Gulf was a town back in the 1800s and saw a lot of action during the civil war. It basically became a ghost town once the Mississippi River changed course. The park has several buildings that have been moved from other surrounding areas and it’s a really nice, inexpensive place to go.

Just one of the many cool antiques there.

Mother’s Day 2013

I didn’t really want to do a whole lot for Mother’s Day but since it was so pretty outside, I thought going to Turkey Creek would be a good idea. I absolutely loved all of the lily pads and lillies. I got a lot of great shots!

Mynelle Gardens

Landscape photography is one of my favorite things to do in my spare time. I find that it is one of the best ways to  help me to relax.  I think I take pictures for hours, that is, if my camera battery didn’t run down lol. These photos were taken at Mynelle Gardens in Jackson, MS.
